Plot[]
Jimmy and his crew are granted 100 hours to spend inside the Great Pyramids of Egypt. At hour 1, the crew explores the Great Pyramid of Giza. At hour 14, the crew meets each other at their base camp. Jimmy and the others had brought lighting equipment, so at night they turned on the lights, illuminating the pyramid's surface so it could be seen from the camp. At hours 24, 25 and 26, the crew explores the pyramid of Khafre. Rami guided Jimmy and the others to the bottom of King Khafre's pyramid, about 100 feet below the Earth's surface, the real resting place thought to have once held the body of King Khafre. On hour 34, Jimmy and the others entered the tomb of the god Osiris where very few humans have ever set foot there. Descending the long ladder on their way to Osiris's resting place, Jimmy and the others found fragments of human bones from 3,000 years ago. And further on, there was a room where the sarcophagus of Osiris lay in the water. On the 50th hour, Jimmy and his friends rode camels with the Egyptian pyramids in the background, then proceeded to their third destination, the Pyramid of Menkaure, accompanied by Ashraf, the director of the entire Giza Plateau. As they descended to the shaft approximately 100 feet underground, they found a chamber decorated with false doors. This pyramid was the only one built during the First Dynasty to feature interior decoration. Proceeding deeper into the pyramid, the next shaft they encountered was King Menkaure's antechamber. And the final shaft led to the burial chamber. Jimmy wondered why there were three small pyramids next to this one. Ashraf replied that the three pyramids were got by King Menkaure for his queens, his wives. At hour 58. Jimmy and the others arrived at the Sphinx statue with Dr. Zahi. According to an online conspiracy theory Jimmy had read, there was a temple filled with gold beneath the Sphinx, so Jimmy entered the statue to investigate. Inside, however, it was empty. Jimmy and Dr. Zahi wrote a statement on paper and buried it along with a golden Swarm worth $10,000. On hour 64, Jimmy and the others arrived at the tomb of Iymery, who had been the high priest at that time. Before entering, Rami warned Jimmy and the others never to touch the walls. Inside, there was a painting that had remained beautifully preserved for 4,600 years, depicting the ancient Egyptian method of winemaking and scenes of ancient Egyptians offering sacrifices. At hours 77 to 79, Jimmy and the others went to the workers' cemetery with Dr. Zahi. Buried in this workers' cemetery were people who had worked on the pyramid's construction. Examining the remains revealed that their spines had been strained from carrying heavy stones. On hour 96, Jimmy and the others finally decided to go to the top of the Great Pyramid. Before heading to the pyramid's summit, they decided to explore every corner of the pyramid first. Following Rami's suggestion, they went down to the lowest point of the pyramid, hundreds of feet below ground. After descending for nearly an hour through a tunnel hundreds of feet long, Jimmy and the others arrived at a decoy chamber. This decoy chamber included the deepest point in all of the pyramid. Then Jimmy and the others made their way through the long passageway toward the pyramid's summit and met up with Dr. Zahi. Dr. Zahi instructed them to select five people to accompany him to the pyramid's summit, and everyone except Nolan ended up going to the top. Retracing their steps through the corridor they had passed through on the first day to reach the King's Chamber, Jimmy and the others finally reached the pyramid's highest point.
