Jaiden Animations is a collaborator with MrBeast. She's known for her animation videos, quirky humor, and collaboration with TheOdd1sOut. Jaden also won in the 50 YouTubers Fight For $1,000,000 video
Personal Life[]
Jaiden was born in Arizona, United States, with a penchant for drawing at an early age. She started her animating by making videos for gaming YouTuber iHasCupquake, providing animated versions of her videos that would comprise among her most popular, gaining over tens of millions of views. Her own YouTube channel would soon gain traction, regularly accumulating at least a few million views per video. Notable videos include her ‘face reveal’ and music video Empty, both of which detailed her struggle with anorexia, and a video detailing a Nuzlocke run which is her most popular video as of August 2020.
As she became more popular, she worked with YouTubers like fellow animators (including TheOdd1sOut), MrBeast, Anthony Padilla, FBE, and even YouTube itself, contributing to YouTube Rewind. Her section of the latter video even gained the attention of PewDiePie.
Her videos were individually produced in the beginning, but later appointed a small team to assist with drawing - this was for the intended purpose to improve animation quality and to share the workload. Her animations are characterized by predominantly being colorless (although she has recently utilized more color in her videos), relatively fluid animation compared to other storytime animators, and recurrent appearances of her pet conure Ari. Besides her storytime videos, she also features live drawing and reaction videos.
Early Life[]
Her mother is Japanese and her father is American; she has a younger brother named Jax. During her childhood, she enjoyed drawing and playing casual video games.
As she grew older, she began participating in competitive sports, such as tennis and karate; she also took music lessons, such as piano and violin, and learned the recorder through compulsory school lessons.
Career[]
YouTube[]
Jaiden was originally known for animating for YouTuber iHasCupquake. The latter had reached out to the former after seeing fan art sent to her. Before this, she had never done animation before. Her animated videos have become one of Cupquake's most viewed; Five Nights at Freddy's Animated short has over 81 million views as of August 2020.
Jaiden joined [[1]] on February 16, 2014, but did not upload her first video until July of that year. She has since gained subscribers due to her comical animated videos, such as stories about school, why she doesn't like high heels, and other awkward stories. Originally, she uploaded Pokemon speedpaints, Q&As, and videos of her playing the piano, but has switched to more story time-based content. In mid-2019 Jaiden made most of her videos on traveling as she has been visiting places like Japan and the U.K.
Frequent collaborations with iHasCupquake, TonyVToons, TheOdd1sOut, SomeThingElseYT, Me Explain Studios Let Me Explain Studios, GingerPale, Domics, and other creators helped skyrocketed her sub count, jumping from 100k subs to over 1,000,000 in the span of a year. Her channel has since grown to have over eight million subscribers, and each of her videos bolstering an equally impressive number of views, often double or triple her subscriber count.
Collaborations[]
Aside from the animators mentioned above, she has been featured outside her own channel. She initially participated in MrBeast's 100,000 YouTuber Battle Royale being put on the Green team with TheOdd1sOut and Anthony Padilla which ended up with Jaiden winning the game for her team after she shot the last person. She would later appear in 50 YouTubers Fight For $1,000,000 where she would also go on to win the $1,000,000 for her subscribers after being voted out while holding the briefcase with the Million Dollar cheque, meaning she was won in both MrBeast videos she has appeared in.
Jaiden has made a music video with Boyinaband called "Empty", which reflected her experience with anorexia and bulimia in her college days.
She was invited to make an animation for YouTube Rewind 2017. Her animation is in the video's credits. In the 2018 Rewind, Jaiden appeared in one of the scenes with PewDiePie's chair, recreating the "BUT Can you do thiiiis?" meme. After few hours, fans also spotted references (or easter eggs) to "sub 2 PewDiePie", "Somebody toucha my spaghet" (Though people thought it was B*tch Lasagna and she said it can be either), KSIvsLogan, Ugandan Knuckles, Smash Bros letter, "Sociopaths 101" (A reference to Paul Jake Paul or Dawson Shane Dawson, but it was too small to read.), and Ari. Many fans believe her part to be the only good part of the video, as the rest of the video was heavily criticized.
Jaiden later appeared in TheOdd1sOut's card game Cafe Chaos as a card in the Animator's Pack. She is portrayed with Ari, who is comically cursing.
Personality[]
Jaiden is shy and tends to be nervous around people. She calls herself "awkward" and "anxious," although she has cited her YouTuber career as helping her get better at interactions. She talks about these traits in many of her videos, the most notable one being “Why I Don’t Have a Face Reveal," in which she talks about her problems with self-consciousness and body dysmorphia. In a more recent video titled "Anxiety is the Greatest! (jk it can go jump off a microwave)," Jaiden talks about her struggles with anxiety and depression. She is quite kind and considerate and follows a vegan diet, which is most likely due to her concerns about how animals are treated on farms.
