Greg LeCates (born: September 5, 1996 [age 26]), better known online as Skitzy_VA (or simply Skitzy, famously known as Fake MrBeast or Rap Battle MrBeast) is an American YouTuber, rapper and actor known for his rap battles and comic dubs. He is well-known for portraying MrBeast in the Squid Game vs. MrBeast rap battle.
History[]
Greg started his channel on February 17, 2013, and posted his first video on December 7, 2015. At that time, he would make comic dub videos mostly about Undertale and Bendy and the Ink Machine. Greg would also do acting and singing commissions on YouTube rap battles stylistically similar to ERB's Epic Rap Battles of History series.
Rise of Popularity[]
The most popular rap battle project he have commissioned is Freshy Kanal's "Squid Game vs. MrBeast - Rap Battle! - ft. Cam Steady & Mike Choe", where Greg portrayed MrBeast (while Cam Steady does MrBeast's singing voice). The rap battle have gained popularity within early 2023, leading to many memes and remixes, partially using the MrBeast title card, accompanied with the announcer shouting "MRBEEEAAAST!!".
The meme was under many aliases like: MrBeast Scream, Fake MrBeast, Ohio MrBeast, Rap Battle MrBeast, or sarcastically Real MrBeast. The creators of the original rap battle have acknowledge the meme, and one of Freshy Kanal's friends, Discord Rap Battles, made a separated green screen of the MrBeast character on Twitter.
At one point during the meme's popularity, one of MrBeast's producers contacted Greg, asking for a collaboration. The team have flew him to North Carolina for his TikTok collaboration with MrBeast himself. The background music used for the TikTok was a remix of "Attack of the Killer Queen" sampled of the MrBeast meme, one of its most popular meme remixes.
Because of the meme having widespread fame, this have made Greg gain a lot of subscribers, reaching 100k on January 24.

- Many people confuse him for Cam Steady, who did the voice for MrBeast in the Rap Battle.
- When MrBeast's team tried to contact Skitzy, they mistakenly messaged Cam Steady first, thinking he was the actor in the meme. Cam told them that it was, in fact, Skitzy.
- Cam Steady had received few negative comments about people saying that the rapper is Skitzy, but Cam clarifies that he voiced MrBeast in the rap battle, while Skitzy dressed up like MrBeast and lip-syncs his voice.
- He is asexual.
