Summary[]

Two contestants, Hugo and Rayne, attempt to survive 100 days in an underground nuclear bunker for $500,000.

Plot[]

The video starts with MrBeast introducing the challenge. The challenge stars Hugo and Rayne. They both have never met each other, before they took their blindfolds off and that was their first time ever meeting. They both are going to attempt to survive 100 days in an underground nuclear bunker for $500,000. If one of them leaves, they both get nothing. The bunker consists of the main area for cooking, vegetables which they can grow, a bedroom upstairs, and a view of the money.

As it seems, Hugo and Rayne are not going to see the sun for 100 days. Day one ends with sleeping. On day two, it starts with them cooking breakfast, then Hugo learns to play a guitar while Rayne learns Spanish. On day three, they workout and complement each other. On day four, Rayne complains about Hugo's snoring. On day five, Hugo shows us the view of the outside, which he mentions that it freaks Rayne out because it's just dirt. On day six, Rayne hears Hugo snoring. On day seven, Hugo made salads for both of them. On day eight, Rayne claims that it's bored. On day nine, they made thrones of canned foods and sit on them. On day 10, it was the time for a special offer. As of day two, they question about the locked boxes in the bunker. Now on day 10, it is revealed that behind the boxes are a hand scanner. A one minute timer is also featured, and it counts down while an alarm goes off. The twist is if the timer hits zero, the money will be engulfed in flames, incinerating every single dollar of the $500,000. Resolving it requires the two players putting their hands on the hand scanners. Every single day, at some random time, it will happen.

On day 11, Chandler presses the button alerting Hugo and Rayne to resolve it. They spent their free time reading and learning to work together, on track to win the $500,000. On day 12, Jimmy activates the alarm at 6:00 in the morning and they were still fast enough. On day 13, Hugo found a surprise Jimmy hid under the floorboard, containing lots of Feastables. With the new equipment, days gone by while they “scare the alarm”, leaping from day 14 to day 19. On day 20, Jimmy has an offer in which $50,000 will be added to the prize, making the winning prize $550,000, while the timer shrunk to 30 seconds. They take the offer and $50,000 are added to the pool.

Despite that, Hugo and Rayne still managed to leap from day 21 to 29. On day 30, Jimmy requests Nolan pressing the button, showing the offer. The offer is in which another $50,000 will be added to the prize, bringing it up to $600,000, while there will be no noise when the alarm goes off every day. They decline the offer and Rayne believes that they made the right decision.

On day 31 and day 32, in an attempt to recover their relationships, Hugo and Rayne moved all their food supplies out of the way. On day 33, they paint a mural for their new team name, the "Sewer Rats". But it wasn't enough because Hugo was still frustrated that he was doing most of the chores, such as feeding the fish, cleaning their tank, and maintaining the garden so they never ran out of fresh vegetables. On top of that, Hugo had done most of the cooking himself, and since they were eating three times a day, that meant he had cooked over 100 meals for the both of them. On day 37, Rayne shares that he is like her own personal Waffle House. While the tension was continuing to grow between them, on day 40, another offer came, which started with bringing out the sucker to which Chandler guessing that it is Nolan, actually it is the "money sucker". Chandler and Tareq on the aboveground vacuums up a $100,000. The offer is in the next ten minutes if one of the players leaves, the player can walk away with the vacuumed $100,000 and the other player won't be eliminated, but the player would be abandoning their teammate to be isolated in this bunker to win the other $450,000. With the said offer, Hugo believes that he could leave because he did everything in the bunker, such as all the cooking, taking care of the plants, and even entertaining Rayne with how bad he is at the guitar. Rayne refuses and implies that they were supposed to be Sewer Rats together. If Hugo accepts leaving, Rayne does too. Rayne responds with no while Hugo takes the ladder, but he didn't and he actually decided to stay and not leave. The $100,000 was poured down back to the pool.

On day 41, Rayne shares that it almost felt like when we're getting broken up with, kind of helpless, and she questions if she should let Hugo just leave. On day 42, a conversation begins between them. Over the next four days (from day 43 to day 46), they have barely even spoke to each other, so Jimmy decided to “shake things up in the bunker” by introducing a new variable. On day 47, another object was featured to the bunker with its top covered. On day 48, another player joined Hugo and Rayne in the bunker, and it is Ryan Trahan, which Jimmy states to be someone who knows a thing or two about living in unusual places. At their first meeting, Hugo mentions that Ryan is a lot shorter in person. Another player means another hand scanner, which is present behind the cap on the top of the featured object. Ryan can stay in the bunker for 50 hours and will have to play by the same rules as Hugo and Rayne. Without checking Ryan's bag, they got access to a music player device. At the time when they are far away from the hand scanners, Jimmy slams the button and activates the alarm. They manage to resolve it, and Rayne uses the restroom, with Hugo claiming that she uses the restroom all the time. Ryan speaks to us, claiming that Hugo and Rayne do not like each other. “You guys spend most of your time during the days, kind of, like, not talking?” Ryan says to Hugo and Rayne. “Yeah,” Hugo and Rayne reply. Ryan speaks to us on day 49, saying the reason he's in the bunker is to make sure Hugo and Rayne get to day 10. Ryan starts a friendship test for Hugo and Rayne. The first test involves staring at each other for 60 seconds, which Hugo and Rayne succeed. The final test involves answering to Ryan's question: “Why do you want to win for (the other player)?”. Rayne answers: “This is such a great opportunity for him and he's the biggest fan of MrBeast. He's gotta win. They pick, like, such a good person for this video, so.” Hugo answers: “I know how much her family helps her and literally given her the ability to do anything. She really wants to repay to her parents. I want to help her better their life.” Friendship test is completed and passed. On day 50, they have a 50 day party and even made a chocolate cake using Feastables. Unfortunately, Ryan is escorted out of the bunker because the 50 hour mark reached. The first thing Ryan sees while going out of the apocalypse bunker is Nolan's face. Like any other ten days, an offer comes. The day 50 offer is for every second the players take off the timer, $5,000 will be added to the prize pool. They decide to cut 10 seconds off which means $50,000 is added to their winning prize, bringing the total to $600,000.

At one point, Rayne was working on the fish tank, when the alarm started.
